Flagstaff, Arizona

Our next stop on the cross country trip was Flagstaff, Arizona.  We stayed at the KOA in town (which to my delight was right across from the MALL!!!!)  It was a quick 2 day stop, but we enjoyed our time in Flagstaff!  Our camp backed right up to the Coconino National Forest (how lucky was that?)  The highlights were the hike up Fat Man's Loop (from Elden's Trail #44) in the Coconino National Forest...it started out overcast and chilly and ended up snowing when we got to the top of the mountain!  It was awesome and invigorating!  After burning all those calories, we enjoyed a fine meal at Miss Zips!  Great, quick stop in Arizona.  We would have stayed longer, but we needed to get to Las Vegas for Bryan's work conference!  Arizona...We'll be back :-)

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Hello New Mexico!!!!  We stayed at the American RV Park and really enjoyed our time in Albuquerque...and it just wasn't just because they offered free continental breakfast at the park :-) There was so much to see and do in Albuquerque!  For one of our "quick stops", this was one of my (Amy's) favorite places to visit!  We explored the Petroglyph National Monuments and the boys earned their Junior Ranger Patch during our visit!  We visited the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science (FREE with our MOSI membership which made it even more AWESOME!) and we checked out the Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.  We enjoyed shopping downtown as a family for souvenirs and treats (it seems like we try to sample the ice cream and candy in every town we visit!) and we ate some delicious Mexican food at the Church Street Cafe!  Braden even managed to get a little fishing in while we were in Albuquerque at the Bob Gerding Catch and Release Pond!  We made some great memories and really enjoyed our time in New Mexico!

Yum...Breakfast (Not sure if Aaron was fully awake yet!)
