Barkhamsted/Winsted Connecticut

We are having a blast in Connecticut!  The days have been warm and the nights have been chilly- perfect fall weather!  This part of the trip has been dedicated to visiting family!  Bryan's family is from Connecticut and we've been able to visit with his Aunt Linda and Uncle Jerry and cousins John and Melissa and their kids.  We've taken rides down Memory Lane -its been awesome for Bryan to share his memories, historic locations and family history with our boys!  Here are some pictures of our Connecticut adventures!

This was our Connecticut home away from home :-)

Braden doing what he does best! He's had a fantabulous time fishing - he's caught Bluegill, Bass and Yellow Perch here.

Great playground too!

Fishing with John Benjamin

This was a great place to spend a Friday evening!  The only thing better than go-carts is go-carts with cousins!!!!

And the only thing better than go-carts is Quads!!! John and Melissa and the kids were so awesome to share their toys with us!

Bryan was the biggest kid of all!

Aaron didn't stop smiling all day!

Today we went on a hike with the Ellis Family.  It was an official uphill, heart pumping, cardio blasting hike-o-rama!!!!  Once we climbed to the top, we realized it was well worth it!

Cousins taking a break after a hike to the top of the mountain and then to the top of the tower!
John and Bryan checking out the craftsmanship!
We just had to stop here for our own Little Bear!!!! ❤Bearclaw131❤

Here we are working hard on our studies during the week!  The boys amaze me everyday!

After a fun filled week, we are getting ready to head to Rhode Island tomorrow. Here's our last evening around the campfire.  The boys and the dog are already inside, I think we wore them out!!!!

Stillwater, Pennsylvania

We pulled in to Stillwater, PA on Sunday. Fall is beautiful in Pennsylvania!  We stayed at a campground that had a fishing pond (shocker!) and an amazing view of the gorgeous fall foliage - and we even had a red barn just a few steps away from our campsite!  Our stay in PA included lots of fishing, hiking, and exploring streams and river - we even managed to fit a few days of school in too!  We also visited the Bloomsburg Fair while in PA.  We all agreed that the food and the bumper cars were the highlight of that experience :-)  Funnel cakes, fried snickers, ice cream... We literally "rolled" back to our camp later that night!  Here are some highlights of our Pennsylvania trip :-)
It is always comical to see me try to get the state sign pictures... I can never seem to time it just right ;-)

There we are! Right in the middle - the red barn is off to the right.

This is the fishing pond - probably one of the better ones we've been to while camping!  I walked laps with Bodie while the boys fished!

Math at the table!  I love Teaching Textbooks ( that's the math curriculum we're using)
Bodie was letting it all sink in while he snoozed on the couch!

Pennsylvania has a great attitude towards fishing - they have made tons of places to stop and fish along the roads/rivers.  We felt so welcome to stop and fish anywhere and everywhere!!!

We stopped here and explored one of the streams - the boys caught tadpoles, all in various stars of development! That was very cool!

It has legs!!!!!

No legs!!!

Loooookkkkkkk!

My boys ❤

New England... Here we come!

We've been packing and preparing all week to leave on the next "leg" of our adventure.  We're very excited to see places we've never seen and experience things that we've only imagined!  We plan on traveling to Pennsylvania first, then go on to Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York.  Here are some pictures of our home on wheels... Thanks for following us on our adventure :-)
Here's the kitchen/living room/main living space... Looking from the driver's seat.

This is the view from the co-pilots chair ( that's me!). Jackknife couch, dinette, part of the kitchen and the hallway to our bedrooms.
This is the hallway to where we sleep.  Boys on the left in their bunks ( bathroom is across from the bunks on the right) and our bed is in the very back of the bus!
Another shot of the boys space.
Hallway/view from our room.
Sneaky school supplies.  Each of the boys keeps his supplies in a crate ( which are hidden until we need them under the dinette bench)
Mom's school/household cabinet
We need to bring along coats on this trip... And lots of extra blankets!
Long pants and long sleeved shirts take up much more room than shorts and bathing suits but we made it work,
My closet- I think I need to buy more things with color.
Bodie snoozing under our bed.  He's sticking close by... Just in case we decide to make a quick get away!
The boys will be completing a State Unit Study on our trip!  Looks like they are ready to rock and roll!

Getting Ready to "Not Go Back to School"

We Interrupt This Adventure...

To get this house ready to sell!  It's been a 6 month plus project and we're still working.  Painting, scrubbing, de funk-defying, refinishing- it's been a labor intensive process!  Now we just need a buyer and we can get on with our adventure :-)
