Key Largo, Florida

We have always wanted to stay at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and we finally had the chance!!!  It is a fantastic park (although a bit crowded) and we were thankful to have the opportunity to snorkel and swim at this underwater park!  We made memories to last a lifetime...

The water is very warm in July :-)

Fun place to eat near the park...We don;t cook on travel days!

We claimed our spot between the cannons!

Aaron and I spent the morning snorkeling together...It was magical!

Braden spent the morning fishing!

Look at this handsome 12 year old!
Our awesome campsite...close to the laundry and the walking trail through the woods.

Tranquil...Beautiful...Perfect!

In his element!  The smile says it all!

After all that snorkeling and swimming, we found the perfect snack!
Ready to head to Marathon!

Hollywood, Florida

Hollywood, Florida...We stayed at the Topeekeegee Yugnee Park for a long weekend (known as the T.Y. Park by the locals)  It was a cool park, with fishing, a waterpark and a fabulous 2+ mile bike path through these amazing, mature trees!  It was also close to our friends, The Bourghis, whom we met for dinner at Jaxson's on Friday night.  We visited Diver's Direct and Bass Pro Shops to gear up for Mini- Lobster Season, which was the main reason we were heading back to the Keys.  Here are some of our favorite memories of our time in Hollywood, Florida.

Topeekeegee Yugnee is the Seminole Indian name meaning "the meeting or gathering place"

Our Hollywood "home"

The view from our campsite

The amazing biking/hiking trail!

Aaron & I especially loved the trail!

Braden had a blast fishing...

Aaron resting for a minute on one of our many bike rides

Aaron needed a haircut while we were in Hollywood and this place was right at the end of our street.  The ladies were so friendly and it was such a fun place!  Aaron played Minecraft while getting his haircut!

We wouldn't have known how cool this place was if it wasn't for our friends, Andrea and Anna.  They met us with their kids Axel and Aurora for a awesome night out in Dania Beach!  Do you see the line to get in the place????  It wasn't even 6pm yet!

Axel, Aurora & Aaron...Braden was too cool for this picture!

The food was delicious...and massive!!!!

The salads were beautiful!

The I.G.F.A Fishing Hall of Fame was closed...It is being relocated to Missouri!  We were so sad to hear the news.
