OBX- Hatteras Island, NC

After 2 ferries and three hours "on the water" in our rig we ended up on Hatteras Island on 6/30!

Surf City, NC

We were supposed to stay in Carolina Beach, NC, but when we showed up at Carolina Beach State Park we learned that they did not have hookups. Excuse me, did you say no electricity? We don't "camp" with no electricity so Bryan quickly got the computer to find us a new location. Surf City was an hour up the beach and they had a spot for us at Laniers Family Campground. Thank God. :) It turned out for the best because we had a spot right across from the water and the place had a huge game room for the kids with pool tables and arcade games. The boys quickly made friends and they had the run of the campground (gated and safe). It rained off and on while we were there but it didn't stop us from having a ton of fun.

We headed for Hatteras Island today and had to take a Ferry from Cedar Island to Ocracoke.  Bodus is enjoying the view of Pamlico Sound
