Washington, DC

In mid-May, we met up with six other traveling families to explore Washington, DC and delve a bit further into American History and all that our nation's capital has to offer.  We visited Arlington Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  We were fortunate enough to witness the "Changing of the Guard".  We visited the Holocaust Museum and learned more about that dark period of history.  Some of our other tours included the Jefferson Memorial, The Bureau of  Engraving and Printing, the Natural History Museum and the United States Botanic Garden.  We had private tours booked at the FBI Experience and also at The Capitol Building.  We also celebrated Aaron's birthday with friends back at the campground.  We learned so much during our time in Washington, DC and our time with friends was priceless!  Here are some of our highlights from the week (note: many places did not allow photographs to be taken during tours so the pictures are limited...but the memories are numerous :-)
