The Thomas Family Travel Diaries: Florida- Orlando/ Disney Experience

We left home on Friday afternoon- Easton was snowy, icy and downright bone chilling! We made it to Smithfield, North Carolina the first night and boondocked at a friendly Walmart ( our first time ever doing this) The following morning we were in the road again at 7am! On Saturday night we camped at a Cracker Barrel about an hour from Orlando. It was so very nice to roll out of bed and walk to our "country kitchen" for a hearty breakfast. They even had a fire in the fire place just for us :-) On Sunday morning, we drove the last hour to Orlando and checked into Disney's Fort Wilderness. This place is amazing! Within an hour of checking in and setting up at our site, we were at the pool! The boys love that there is a huge water slide and that the pool water is heated! The staff here is wonderful- they engage the kids and there are events planned throughout the day to keep everyone active! Today the boys played kickball for an hour with some new friends and went to a pool party - an hour of games, music, and fun with friends! Bodie has made some new friends, too! He is snoring as I write this! Tomorrow we plan on going to Downtown Disney while Bryan works and we have reservations at Rainforest Cafe for dinner. Here are some pictures from our adventure so far!
