We stopped in Miami for an overnight, so that we could run/walk our first 5k at the Miami Zoo! We drove across Florida from Fort Myers, with a quick afternoon stop on Alligator Alley for some fishing (Bryan had to take a break from driving & attend to some pressing issues at work- that's really why we stopped- fishing was a bonus!) Aaron enjoyed the break so he could Ripstick through the parking lot ( I didn't get a picture because I was walking the dog!)
Once in Miami, the boys played some pool and rode their bikes, we took Bodie to the Bark Park, and we picked up our race bags at Solerunner. It was an early night after a few more games of pool and dinner. We woke up super early (6am- ish) and completed our first 5k. It was awesome! The Miami Zoo was fabulous. I'd go back in a heartbeat! After the race, we packed up and headed to the Keys!!!!! Can't wait to sit back and relax. Bryan's taking the week off - the boys & I will be taking the week off school, too!
