Thonotossasa, FL

Our next stop was Hillsborough River State Park, which is an amazing Florida State Park! We'd been here numerous times before to visit for the day and we were super excited to be able to set up camp for a few weeks! We had a great time hiking, biking, geocaching, and relaxing! It's also a great home base to explore the Tampa area. One of the highlights of this trip was that the boys and I had to move the rig from one section of the park to another BY OURSELVES while Bryan was away on business---and it was a SUCCESSFUL MOVE by our little team of three (huge confidence booster!)! Another highlight was that Bob and Karen (aka Nonna and Pop-Pop) visited us for a day and we had fun exploring the park,  introducing them to the fun that is TopGolf and looking at RVs at LazyDays! Later in the trip, the boys and I traveled to the Clermont Skyzone for Homeschool Jump Day and met up with some of our friends in the area!  Here are our some of our favorite memories from our time at Hillsborough River State Park!

Hillsborough River, here we come!

Our little slice of the park...Parked by Amy & her boys!

Lots of opportunities to climb, run and jump

The park has a great biking/walking trail that we took advantage of every day!

We searched for the resident alligators!

Loved this campsite!

We biked to the camp store and bought bundles of firewood for our nightly campfire.

Braden carried the heavy load.

Three cheers for snow days in Florida!

Gaming together in the evening...

A tasty little experiment!  Toll House Vs. Pillsbury

And the winner is....Nestle!  Both were delicious though...

More hikes through the woods.

Contemplating the wonders of the world :-)

We FOUND the geocache!!!!

Looking at the "treasures" ...figuring out what we'll leave behind as a trade!
Bodie enjoyed our hikes, too!

Climbing never gets old!

My handsome guys!!!

We absolutely LOVE Skyzone!  We drove an hour to visit the Skyzone in Clermont...It's that good! See Aaron cartwheeling with joy?

That's Braden in the center/top portion of the picture!

Both boys and their friends!

Some of our Road Schooling friends!

Out for a walk!

Exploring the park with Nonna and Pop-Pop!

Quality Time

TopGolf Fun!

Pop-Pop and Braden

We spent a lot of time exploring...It's good for the soul!

Our new fruit bowl!!!!

Our new crockpot - It browns, sautes, steams and slow cooks!

More geocaching!

Victory is ours!!!!

Our nightly walk/ride!

Needed to make a PetSmart trip for dog food, so Bodie was able to pick out some new toys!!!  He loves to shop!

Making some tough decisions!

Thoroughly enjoyed our campfires...

Every evening at dusk, the birds would come back to their homes in the trees behind our campsite...it was so cool to welcome them home!

ZZzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
