Nomadic Homeschool KENTUCKY Meet Up 2016

We were fortunate to spend the month of October in Kentucky with some of our closest friends!  Nomadic Homeschoolers sponsored multiple Meet-Ups throughout our time at Diamond Caverns RV Park and we enjoyed every minute! Our schedule was chocked full of learning and socialization (wink, wink!)...Here's just a short list of some of our favorite  activities while in KY!

*Toured Historic Diamond Caverns
*Experienced the thrill of Kentucky Action Park with the Alpine Slide, Bumper Cars, and Outlaw Cave Tour.
*Participated in a Kentucky Unit Study with NHS and learned about KY landmarks, geography, history and remarkable people!
*Enjoyed Teen Game Night with Mr. Josh
* Ate tons of yummy food at the Teen App Crawl
*Honed teamwork skills with the Teen Golden Ticket Hunt
*Talked, laughed and played games around MANY cozy campfires
* Watched movies under the stars
*Explored Jackson's Orchard and picked apples, walked the corn maze, learned how apple cider is made and ate delicious fall treats!
*Carved pumpkins, went Trick-Or-Treating and had a Halloween Dance Party
*Went to Applebee's for Ladies Night Out (and started my 40th birthday celebration!)
*40th Birthday trip to Mammoth Cave National Park, followed by an amazing 40th Birthday Dessert Potluck with awesome friends!
* Hiking, biking, tag, basketball everyday after school with friends who are more like family
*Corvette Factory Tour and Museum!  One of the best tours we have been on so far!  (No pictures because we weren't allowed to take pics on the factory floor.)

Our campground was at the entrance of Mammoth Cave National Park
