The winter months of 2018 were spent working on school, spending time with friends, and adventuring. Braden is in 10th grade and Aaron is right behind him, in 9th grade. They are both taking courses through Florida Virtual School. Both boys are taking Spanish and Leadership classes through FLVS. In addition, Braden is working on a difficult Chemistry course and Aaron is taking a challenging Honors Biology class. They also have been working on American Literature, Math (Algebra and Geometry) and US History! They are very bright boys and we are very proud of them. We may not be doing things the "traditional" way, but we are doing them "our way" and it is working out just fine!
Now back to the adventuring :-) A few of us moms took a group of our teens to Magic Kingdom for the day in January. Denise used her magical Disney Fast Pass skills to get the teens on all the rides! We experienced our first "rope drop" (that's when you are in the park before the rides open) and we were the first ones in line for the "hard to get on" Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! We were in the park from before it opened until it closed (we saw the fireworks show and then ran for the ferry!) It was an exhilarating experience!
We also celebrated Denise's 40th birthday - a day-long celebration with Vietnamese food, a window shopping trip in Hyde Park and dessert at Bern's Steakhouse!
On an evening trip to Disney, Bryan spotted John Stamos and we all got to see the celebrity!! Rita even got her picture with him!
Lastly, Aaron's best friend, Kaleb, moved to Washington State, so we had a Farewell Party for him before he left. It was a very busy month!
