Gloucester, Virginia- Part 2

We have been having a blast at Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay!  Our days are full- school ( and some fishing) in the mornings and group activities with the RV Homeschooler groups in the afternoons and evenings.  It's a beautiful fall here in Gloucester!  Here's a photo montage of our adventures.
RVHS HORSE tournament at the basketball courts
Solving the problems of the world around the campfire
Creating masterpieces in the warm October sun
The boys have made a lot of great friends!
Aaron created his own bike light with a small flashlight and some black electrical tape - now he's campground legal!
We hosted the Halloween Pillowcase Prep activity.  The campground told us to expect about 2000 trick or treaters!  We needed to get our bags ready to rock-n-roll!
Afternoon beach fun!

RVHS Field Trip to Gloucester Museum of History...we saw Gloucester Archaelogy exhibits, Revolutionary and Civil War displays and so much more!

Ancient artifacts
Clothes from times long past

Old time hearth
Dad, I took this picture for you!  Look at this contraption they used to catch flies in the olden days!
We toured the Colonial Courthouse and saw an informative video on Pochahontas and the Powhatan Indians. We also were able to tour and learn about the Debtors Prison which is located in the Gloucester Courthouse Circle Historic District.
Next stop, the birthplace of Dr. Walter Reed...
Simple, beautiful home

We toured the home and learned about the amazing man Dr. Walter Reed was...maybe one of the kids was inspired to go into the medical field?!?
And on the way home, I ran over this curb trying to get to the drive thru window at McDonalds...I was very thirsty!!!
