Wilmington, Ohio

We made it to Ohio!  We'll be making two stops here in the Buckeye State.  The first is in Wilmington, Ohio.  We stayed at the Wilmington Thousand Trails and enjoyed fishing, hiking, and some exploring during our stay.  We thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring the Ohio State Parks.  I think our favorite was Caesar Creek State Park...There was a Nature Center for learning, water for fishing, a path for hiking, and a playground that had a fitness area!  I'd love to spend more time at this park!  Here are some of the highlights from our time in the Wilmington area.

One boy fishes....

While the other boy skateboards...

This was the view from our campsite...Lots of geese...and goose poop!

Braden caught some little fish

Happy Campers

That can't be good...

Ahhhhhhhhh

Caesar Creek Nature Center

Great learning displays

Fitness trail was AWESOME!!!

Am I skinny yet?  Wait, don't answer that!!!

Great playground...

You're never too old to swing on the swing set!

Working it out!!!

Braden loved the jumping station!

Walking trails are also good for skateboarding!

Just down the road....Some more great fishing!

Aaron and I hiked around, explored the creek, and played Frisbee in the field!

And just down the street a bit farther....ANOTHER fishing spot to check  out...

I think Aaron refused to get out of the Jeep at this point.  His fishing timer had run out for the day :-)

On the way home, we stopped here and looked at the fossil bed.

Took a few picks, but left them where we found them

If we had more time, this would have been right up our ally!  We will be back to fossil hunt!!!
