Barton, Maryland

One of the highlights of the summer was our trip to Western Maryland with Mom and Mom-Mom.  We enjoyed some rest and relaxation (as well as LOTS of great food!) and we were able to get a few projects accomplished - the major one being fixing the front porch stairs.  The boys discovered the joys of metal detecting and they found some cool antiques :-)  Also, Bryan and Aaron spent some quality time at Dan's Rock.  Western Maryland is a very special place to us and we always enjoy our time in the mountains!  Here are some of our favorite pictures...

Pulling into the Deniker's driveway...They are kind enough to let us park our home on wheels in their driveway, while we stay at the mountain house.

Bit of a tight turn...

We made it!

Bryan took on the task of fixing the front porch stairs...The boys helped when they could.

Braden and Aaron metal detected the entire yard.  Hours of playing in the dirt :-)

A work in progress!

Work and play...

Construction supplies...

Love this sign...

Still hunting for treasure!

The door under the porch...

Still working hard...

The many years old fridge was not working properly, so it was time to retire that one and purchase a new one...Bryan was very helpful in the transition...

Out with the old....In with the new...

Braden and Mom-Mom love their puzzles!

Bodie loves his naps...He was leashed so he wouldn't get in the way of the new fridge being carried in...

I bet Mom-Mom is watching the Buzzr channel!!!

The new addition!

Sparkling fresh and clean!

We started calling him "Bodie-locks"...He was trying to find the perfect place to nap!

Thomas Boy #1 helping with the porch project.

"Look how far we've come!"

What a great crew!!!  Mom-mom is supervising!

Almost finished!!!

One of the treasures that was found in the yard...There wasn't  a clock inside, but it was still a cool find!

Porch sitting!

I think this chair was his favorite!

Aaron LOVES the mountain house!!!

Puzzle = Complete!

Relaxing in the family room with his great-grandmother!

Mission Accomplished!  Great job, Bryan and boys!

Dinner at Hobos in Pennsylvania was delicious!

Hanging out between PA and MD!

Playing cards in our favorite kitchen!

Bryan coming down the stairs for our date night!

Ready for a night out on the town.

We ate at Shift in Frostburg, which USED to be Broadway Liquors, the store Bryan worked at when we were in college!

We visited Pop-Pop and left flowers...

We grilled on the back porch...

Here are all of the "treasures" the boys found in the yard!!!!

It was a great visit!!!  Bye, John and Shirley!  Thanks for keeping our home on wheels safe while we visited Barton!!!
