Cape May, New Jersey

We had been meaning to get to New Jersey...It was the only white space on our map.  We are so glad we finally made plans to visit!  We just didn't realize how much we would enjoy the Jersey Shore!  Here are some of our favorite memories from Cape May.

We stayed at the Lake and Shore RV Resort (Thousand Trails)

Finally...No more white spaces on the East Coast!

Our Cape May, NJ trip coincided with the start of our 2015-16 school year.  Here we are doing one of the first science experiments of the year!

They take turns being cooperative for pictures :)

Our first Food Truck Experience!  It was an adventure I hope we can repeat!

Mini donuts...Yum Yum...

One of our favorite trucks, PB and U

So.Many.Choices

One of our favorite entrees from PB and U.  This is a spicy peanut butter, shredded cabbage slaw & pork bar-b-que sandwich.

One of the best parts of the Food Truck event was that it was near a skate park :-)  We ate, took a walk to the park, and  watched the boys skate.

I broke my foot on Labor Day, so all of our Cape May fun was enjoyed on crutches.

Lobster Roll for my fisherman

There is a waffle under all this...It was heavenly!

Our campsite

Fried chicken in a waffle cone...

The boys have daily chores, but they had to help even more while I was learning to adjust to life on one foot.

A little food truck math!  When you home school, there are learning opportunities around each corner!

Visiting the Boardwalk

It was our lucky day!  They were putting on an airshow!

Similar to the Ocean City Boardwalk, but it seemed more family oriented.

Another Science experiment in New Jersey

The boys had to dissect the owl pellet to get to the "good stuff" inside!

Concentrating on the task at hand

Cursive - Year 2

Working on his Knowledge Journal, which we add to daily.

While learning about Ancient Civilizations, we decided we wanted to learn more about Egypt.  One of our activities was to learn about the mummification process...Here the boys are mummifying apples.

Came across this field of doors as we were exploring the area...

We had a blast in Cape May and would LOVE to go back again soon!
